Claude waited 22 minutes
for you to press Enter.
You asked it to run the tests and switched to Slack. It stopped to ask permission, and the question sat in a tab you couldn't see. Agents are fast. Noticing them is the slow part.

With Eddie
The notch widens with a soft sound the moment any agent needs you, whatever app you're in. When it's done, you hear that too.
Stop babysitting
your terminals.
Run three agents, go back to your own work, and let the notch tell you when one needs you. When nothing's happening, it's just your notch.

Know the moment Claude needs you.
Every Claude Code session shows up with its status: working, needs you, or done. A permission prompt makes the notch peek out with a sound, so an agent never sits blocked for twenty minutes while you're in another window.
See what they cost.
Tokens and API-equivalent spend per session, per project and per day, read straight from Claude Code's local logs. No API key needed.
And what they leave running.
Each agent's process tree with memory, CPU and ports. Dev servers still running after their terminal closed get flagged and stopped in two clicks. Old node_modules, build folders and worktrees go to the Trash.
It taps you on the shoulder.
Like a Live Activity on iPhone: the notch widens for a moment when an agent needs you or finishes, then shows a quiet working indicator while agents run.
Clipboard and a notepad.
Your last five clips, with images, links and colors previewed. Click to copy again or press ⌘1–⌘5. Plus one note that saves as you type.
Music, and today's sales.
Now Playing from any app, including Music, Spotify and YouTube in your browser, beside the notch. Connect Stripe, Dodo Payments or Polar with a read-only key to see today, 30 days and MRR. Every new sale gets a little +$19.
Meet Eddie. It lives in your notch.
Been heads-down for a while with no timer running? Eddie drops out of the notch on a thread and suggests a pomodoro. Start one and the countdown sits beside the notch like a Live Activity, and when it's break time Eddie walks you through five animated desk stretches for your neck, shoulders, wrists and chest. Once an hour at most, and "quiet today" is one click.
- Everything stays on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no analytics.
- API keys live in your Keychain. Revenue keys only need read access.
- Clipboard skips passwords from 1Password, Bitwarden and Apple Passwords.
Private by default.
Agent status comes from your agents' own hooks, on your own machine. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Keyboard first, if you like.
⌃⌥A for agents, ⌃⌥V for clips, ⌃⌥N for the note, from any app and any Space. Press Esc and it's gone. Black to melt into the notch, or Liquid Glass on Tahoe.
Better than a notification.
Notifications tell you something happened, once. The notch shows what's happening now, and it's always in the same place.
One price. Yours to keep.
Once. No subscription, no account.

Questions
How does Eddie know what my agents are doing?
With one click per agent, Eddie adds hooks to that agent's config (~/.claude/settings.json, ~/.codex/hooks.json, ~/.cursor/hooks.json or ~/.gemini/settings.json) and saves a backup first. The agent then runs a tiny helper on each event, like a permission request or a finished task, and Eddie reads it instantly. Claude Code's cost comes from its own local logs. Hooks load when a session starts, so restart sessions that were already open. You can disconnect anytime in Settings. Prefer to do it by hand? Settings has a setup guide with a ready-made prompt you can paste into the agent itself, and it adds Eddie's hooks for you. The Claude desktop app needs no hooks: Eddie reads the transcripts its Code tab saves.
Which agents does it support?
Eddie works with each agent through that agent's own hooks, so how much it can show depends on what the agent reports:
* Codex asks you to trust Eddie's hook once: run /hooks in Codex after connecting.
† The Claude desktop app doesn't run hooks yet (anthropics/claude-code#96496), so Eddie follows its Code tab through the session transcripts it saves on your Mac, with nothing to connect. It shows up as Claude · Desktop: working, done, and questions it asks you. Permission prompts never reach the transcript, so it can't tell Eddie when it's waiting for approval.
Is the cost what I'm actually billed?
It's the API-equivalent cost at Anthropic's list prices. If you're on a Pro or Max plan you aren't billed per token, but it's a useful way to see which sessions are heavy.
Does it work on Macs without a notch?
Yes. On an iMac, a Mac mini, a Mac Studio or an external display, Eddie draws a slim notch of its own in the middle of the menu bar. You can also choose which display it lives on.
Why only five clips?
Because five is how many you actually reach back for. A long history turns into a search box. Five fits in one glance, and each one gets a real preview.
Does it save my passwords?
No. Password managers mark what they copy as concealed, and Eddie skips anything marked that way. It also ignores copies made in Keychain Access and Apple Passwords. Nothing ever leaves your Mac.
Will it get in the way of my menu bar?
No. When Eddie is closed it's exactly the shape of your notch, and clicks pass straight through to the menu bar around it. It only opens when your pointer rests on the notch.
Which macOS versions does it support?
macOS 14 Sonoma and later. On macOS 26 Tahoe you also get the Liquid Glass style.
How many Macs can I use it on?
Your license covers the Macs you personally use. If you're buying for a team, get in touch.
