Eddie for Mac
The notch app for Mac.
Eddie turns the notch into the most useful spot on your screen. It taps you the moment Claude Code or Codex needs permission, and keeps your clipboard, music, focus timer and today’s sales one hover away.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later · Apple silicon and Intel · notarized by Apple · 14-day refund, no questions asked
Everything, one hover away.
Rest the pointer on the notch and it opens. Move away and it’s exactly the shape of the notch again.
Agents
Live status for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI. When one needs permission, the notch lights up and you can allow it right there.
Costs
What each Claude Code session cost today, at API list prices, read from its own local logs.
Clipboard
Your last five clips with real previews. Passwords from password managers are skipped.
Focus
A pomodoro timer beside the notch, and guided stretches when the break comes.
Music
What’s playing, with play, pause and skip, without switching apps.
Sales
Today’s sales from Stripe, Dodo or Polar. A new one peeks out the moment it lands.
Vitals
CPU and memory health, live, and the app working hardest when your machine is cooking.
Eddie
A small mascot who lives in the notch: he drops down when an agent needs you and reminds you to stretch.
No notch? It still works.
On an iMac, a Mac mini, a Mac Studio or an external display, Eddie draws a slim notch of its own in the middle of the menu bar, and you can choose which display it lives on. When it’s closed, clicks pass straight through to the menu bar around it.
Install it in a minute.
1. Buy a key for $4.67, once. It arrives by email from Dodo Payments. 2. Download Eddie; it’s notarized by Apple. 3. Paste the key into the Welcome window, then connect your agents in Settings with one click each. Eddie backs up each agent’s config before it adds its hooks.
The same key works on Windows. Changed your mind? You have 14 days to get a refund, no questions asked.
Questions.
Does Eddie work on Macs without a notch?
Yes. On an iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio or an external display, Eddie draws a slim notch in the middle of the menu bar. You choose which display it lives on.
Which Macs and macOS versions does it support?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
How does Eddie know what my coding agents are doing?
With one click per agent, Eddie adds hooks to that agent’s own config file and saves a backup first. The agent runs a tiny helper on each event, like a permission request or a finished task, and Eddie shows it in the notch. Claude Code’s cost comes from its local logs.
Will it get in the way?
No. Closed, it’s the shape of your notch and clicks pass through to the menu bar around it. It opens only when your pointer rests on it.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. There’s no Eddie account and no analytics. Your clipboard, notes and agent events stay on your Mac.
Is it a subscription?
No. $4.67 once, and one key covers the Macs and Windows PCs you use. 14-day refund, no questions asked.
